Podcast: Q&A with Nelson Michael

For a Q&A that appeared in our Sep.-Oct. 2012 issue, Andreas von Bubnoff spoke with U.S. Military HIV Research Program director Nelson Michael to talk about the state of AIDS vaccine research. The MHRP is one of the main collaborators on RV144, the only clinical trial that has shown efficacy for an HIV vaccine candidate. Michael played a major role in conducting RV144, in its analysis, and in planning follow up trials. His laboratory collaborates with many other research groups around the world to develop new HIV vaccine candidates. Click on the icon below for an audio version of the interview.
